ARTWORK > Ceramics

Searching for amulets... A landscape rendered in ceramic becomes a site of refuge and memory, a place to return to. The fiber speaks to the body, to labor, and to the intimate rituals of home and tradition. It also echoes the presence of fiber in sacred objects, where material and meaning are tightly woven. The knotted threads and fringe reference Tzitzit, a ritual practice that ties seeing to remembering. By framing the landscape with these fiber elements, the piece becomes a kind of visual prayer, where the natural world is made sacred. It becomes an amulet, a vessel of protection, devotion, and presence.
